2018 KCNQ2 Family and Professional Summit

The KCNQ2 Cure Summit went west coast for the first time in 2018 with a trip to Disney. The families shared experiences with events including mini therapy horses, Disney characters and the musical stylings of Phil Pearl – Director of Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at Boston Children’s. The roster of speakers at the Anaheim Summit numbered 18 and had our first report on RNA based therapeutic studies and a successful proposal for a NIH center without walls grant including a KCNQ2 focus. Knopp Biosciences and Xenon returned as sponsors and provided updates regarding their targeted compounds. Another tremendously attended Summit with families and professionals from around the globe.
